Brandywine Living at Haddonfield Resident Publishes First Book

Jan Twitchell Signing a Book

Jan Twitchell, a lifelong resident of Haddonfield for more than 65 years, recently published her first book titled “A Fortunate Life” in December. Brandywine Living at Haddonfield co-hosted a book launch with The Historical Society of Haddonfield to celebrate her achievement. The Haddonfield community, along with her family, came out to support her book and have their copies signed.

Her novel, despite being an autobiography also highlights the rich history of Haddonfield, NJ. The book originally began as an oral history for the Historical Society before transforming into a published work.

Jan’s life accomplishments include being co-chair of the Dinosaur Sculpture committee, president of Interfaith Caregivers and named Citizen of the Year in 2002 by Haddonfield.

Brandywine Living at Haddonfield is honored that Jan Twitchell, an esteemed member of the local community, calls Brandywine Living home.

When asked to comment on her novel, Jan Twitchell replied, “I was simply a farm girl until I met my husband (lifetime Haddonfield resident). He changed my life forever!”

“A Fortunate Life” can be purchased at Inkwood Books or online. The Twitchell family is generously donating all proceeds from the novel to the Historical Society’s New Archive Center.
