Brandywine Living Hosts Valley Health Systems for Healthy Eating Session

Brandywine Living Chefs Serve Healthy Appetizers for Eating Well Panel

Mahwah, NJ — Brandywine Living at Mahwah hosted Valley Health Systems for a “Better Than Ever” series session on healthy eating. The interactive panel, titled “Eat Well, Age Well”, was held on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Led by Jaclyn Murphy, Registered Dietician from The Valley Health System, the interactive session focused on learning how to make each meal count by implementing healthy diet changes. Jaclyn emphasized that healthy habits can be started at any stage or age in life.

“You decide how you age and you must be an advocate for your own health. Small changes can be made at any age.  Every time you eat, you have the opportunity to make a better choice,” says Jaclyn Murphy, RDN, Valley Health System.

To complement the evening’s theme on healthy eating, Brandywine Living chefs prepared an array of health-conscious tapas such as spinach and artichoke cucumber bites and Greek salad skewers. Dessert trays with chocolate zucchini muffins and Greek yogurt parfaits proved that even sweets can be healthier.

Brandywine Living looks forward to the next session of “Better Than Ever” with their collaborative partner, Valley Health System.
