(MAHWAH, NJ) Brandywine Living at Mahwah partnered with Valley Health System and hosted the Better than Ever round table program titled; Embracing Active Living. Julia Sharkey Buckley, MS, RDN, Clinical Dietitian for the Valley Health System, Don Tomaszewski, MS, ATC/L, Director of The Valley Hospital Sports Institute and Krissi Kressler, Corporate Director of Program Excellence for Brandywine Living served as expert panelists on the round table.
The event started with healthy refreshments including grapefruit infused guacamole, honey glazed grilled chicken skewers and cucumber slices topped with crab meat and homemade wasabi dressing. The guests raved about the food, calling it creative, refreshing and delicious.
The round table was hosted in the theater where panel experts discussed with attendees how eating well, being fit, and staying socially connected can lead to a healthy and active life at any age. The evening concluded with the panelists’ top tips on each category and gift bags with giveaways from Brandywine Living and Valley Health System.
The attendees expressed that the speakers were very knowledgeable. “I have attended many of these events and they are always very good and very informative”, said one attendee at the event.
