Haddonfield Wins Argentum 2015 Senior Living by Design Award

HADDONFIELD, NJ – Argentum, the national association for professionally managed, resident-centered senior living communities, recently announced the winners of its 2015 Senior Living by Design Award, naming Brandywine Living at Haddonfield as one of the five recipients. The competition highlights some of the most cutting-edge and creative architecture, interiors, and outdoor spaces found in senior living communities today.

Twenty-nine architects and design firms shared their projects, and 11 judges ranked the community submissions on the uniqueness of the design, the strategic vision and goals at the heart of the design project, the design’s functionality and aesthetic, and the positive impact this design is making for the residents, families, and staff.

Brandywine Living at Haddonfield’s submission to the competition demonstrated excellence in community design that provides safe and engaging spaces for contemplating and gathering, smart spaces that enable staff to offer superior service, and destination spaces such as the library, movie theater, tap room,  beauty salon and spa, and dining room that provide purposeful living. We thank Meyer Design for their critical contributions to improving the lives of residents at our community.

“The renovation and restoration project did not come without challenges.  A total of six design schemes were developed with BSL and many meetings were necessary to coordinate with the Haddonfield Preservation Commission and neighborhood committees for approval,” said George Wilson, Managing Principal of Meyer Architects. “Brandywine has become a place that life- long Haddonfield residents can live the rest of their lives with dignity and comfort and continue to call Haddonfield their home. This is why we do what we do, to help seniors and families in need. Thank you for your confidence in Meyer.”

“We’re ecstatic to bring Brandywine Senior Living back to it’s home in Haddonfield,” said Brenda J. Bacon, Brandywine Senior Living CEO and President. “The community we have built here is truly one of a kind, and we are privileged to bring the residents who re-located during the development of the new addition back to their home and allow the residents of Haddonfield the option to continue to live in the community they and their families so cherish while receiving the best supportive services available to preserve and maximize their independence.”
