AN ACTIVE LIFE THROUGH ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
Your social calendar will be booked, we promise! Our goal is to assist you in maintaining your present leisure interests while rediscovering past hobbies and experiencing new skills through the Arts and Entertainment program. We offer a variety of exciting small and large group programs every day and transportation for group outings, shopping excursions and physician appointments. Try your hand at a creative writing group, get moving in a fitness class, practice tai chi, or get a soothing massage. Our social programs are always offered in an inviting and fun atmosphere and range from live entertainment, trips out to a cozy restaurant, local theater productions, or simply having a cup of coffee in the café with others.
Another Brandywine cognitive program offered is Life Long Learning, an educational forum for seniors. We are firm believers that Assisted Living is a place full of educational opportunities for seniors. So sign up for a Tai Chi, Spanish 101, or a Watercolor class. It is never too late to learn and to stimulate your mind.
Staying connected in the community and feeling productive is important. At Brandywine, our Volunteer Program, Bridges, provides opportunities for residents, family and members of the community to become involved in the program and other aspects of the residence. From facilitating an art class, editing the newsletter, reading to children at a local school or simply visiting with others, the opportunities to remain active and involved in the community are endless.
