(VOORHEES, NJ) Women’s Sexual Health. Brandywine Living at Voorhees broke taboo barriers in favor of women’s education and health with their collaborative partner Virtua in a round table discussion, “Boost Your Desire.” The event was hosted on October 4, 2017 and is part of a larger education series titled, “Better Than Ever,” that aims to educate the public on important health and lifestyle topics.
“Sexual health is medically important because we need to improve our relationships in our own household first in order to be a better society,” said women’s health expert Colleen McCleery, MD, FACOG.
The evening started off with relaxing chair massages by vir tú spa in the beauty salon followed by appetizers and sex on the beach cocktails in the taproom. Guests progressed into the movie theater for the round table discussion lead by Colleen McCleery, MD, FACOG and Linda Batastini-Farnoly, APN-C. from exuberan® by Virtua.
Colleen and Linda educated attendees on how hormone levels in women naturally decline and decrease with age, especially before and after menopause. They gave practical tips and answered questions on how to combat and address this common concern among women.
“Sexual dysfunction is important for pre and post menopausal women, as well as andropause in men, to continue feeling optimal throughout the rest of their lives,” stated Linda Batastini-Farnoly, APN-C.
Before leaving, guests picked up swag bags sponsored by Virtua and gave feedback on the discussion. An anonymous female attendee said:
“Very informative event! I am sure it touched on a lot of areas our generation isn’t aware of. The younger generation tends to get this type of advice and help and now our generation has information too! I recommend going to this talk.”
Although the event was centered on women’s health, several male attendees joined in the discussion. “This was the best! I have never met a physician so down to earth and unique as them. They reached everyone tonight,” said a male attendee after the event.
Brandywine Living looks forward to working with Virtua on the “Better Than Ever” education series and continuing to bring important health topics to the attention of the local community.
