Yoga Community Class with Brandywine Living & BAYADA
(DRESHER, PA) Inclement weather did not slow down “Yoga: Bend & Blend” co-hosted by Brandywine Living and BAYADA on October 14, 2017. The free community yoga class was moved inside to Brandywine Living at Dresher Estates’ elegant living room where attendees enjoyed an hour of health and wellness.
Experienced yoga instructor Jennifer Portnoy from BAYADA led the mixed group of yoga lovers in a one-hour class focused on yoga basics, relaxation and core strength. The class was offered as part of Brandywine Living and BAYADA’s collaborative partnership and mission to promote health, wellness and a thriving lifestyle to residents and the local community.
“It was a pleasure teaching yoga at Brandywine Living at Dresher. We had a diverse group of participants who took time for themselves that morning to enjoy all that yoga has to offer. It was very satisfying sharing the experience of calming the mind and body with deep breathing while working towards challenging stretches, and holds. Brandywine offered a large and comfortable community space and we had interested on-lookers, residents and employees, who shared our stillness. A few even joined in from their chairs,” remarked Jennifer Portnoy PT, DPT, RYT-200 with BAYADA Home Health Care.
Erin O’Neill, Director of Community Relations of Brandywine Living at Dresher Estates said:
“Yoga Bend and Blend was such a wonderful community event. It was a great opportunity for people to come and relax and become centered. My favorite part of the class was how calming Jennifer was. There were some seasoned people as well as some people trying Yoga for the very first time. Following the class everyone enjoyed a delicious smoothie from Jamba Juice and also took home a yoga mat. Fun was had by all.”
