Brandywine Living at Litchfield Joins the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Brandywine Living at Litchfield residents and team members participated in the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s held on Sunday, September 23. Hosted annually, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Eager participants boarded the Brandywine Living bus to show their support at White Memorial Conservation Center, the closest walk-site to the community. The conservation center, which features 40 miles of trails and home to the Bantam River, is a popular local destination that Brandywine Living at Litchfield visits year-round.

“It was a great turn out for a great cause that touches everyone. We look forward to building our team and sponsorship more for next year’s walk,” commented Tobylynne Yurchick, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Litchfield.

Residents who could not participate in the two-mile trek through the conservation site showed their support by cheering on fellow team members.

Brandywine Living at Litchfield’s fundraising efforts, which included funds from their own walk hosted on the Longest Day, raised over $2,800 for the Alzheimer’s Association.

“It was a great day and so good to see so many “Brandywiners” at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Our community made the top 5 teams for donations…next year, bigger and better,” said Robin Vaugh, Executive Director of Brandywine Living at Litchfield.
