Melville, NY — The residents of Brandywine Living at Huntington Terrace were treated to a dash of sweetness from Brownie Troop 1513 from Dix Hills who visited the luxury senior living community on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
The fourteen young ladies not only brought a wide variety of their famous and delicious cookies to share with residents, but also gifted beautiful mask chains made by the troop.
The Brownies were led by Troop Leaders Kristin Johnson and Jolene Birrer.
“The girls had been looking forward to the trip and excited to bring smiles to the residents faces,” said Johnson.
The visit was a trip down memory lane for two residents; Karen Adamo and Clarisse Petrucci, both former Girl Scouts. The residents remember participating in their Troops activities.
“They were wonderful times and made a big difference in my life. I recommend that every little girl join the Girl Scouts. It is good for leadership,” said Clarisse Petrucci.
Brandywine Escapades Director, Rhonda Catapano commented, “Thank you Troop 1513 for sharing your smiles, sweetness and generosity. Your kindness will not be forgotten by our Residents and staff!”
