In the News: Seniors At Brandywine Living, Princeton Receive Balloon Surprise

Brandywine Team Members Holding Balloon Buddies

Princeton, NJ/ Princeton Patch — Seniors at Brandywine Living, Princeton were in for a surprise.

On Saturday, a caravan of cars loaded with over 80 Balloon Buddies was delivered to seniors.

Brandywine Living at Princeton was chosen to receive “Balloon Buddies” in honor of the recently launched national campaign, ‘Adopt A Grandparent’ by balloon professionals around the globe.

Drea Potocny the owner and lead artist of Princeton Events Co., rounded up volunteers and sponsors to help deliver balloons to senior residents.

“We understand the importance of uplifting the human spirit during these trying times and we look forward to delivering hope and joy in the form of balloon gifts to Brandywine’s wonderful residents sponsored entirely by the community,” Potocny said in a statement.

Each resident of Brandywine received a bright and colorful happy face Balloon Buddy, with a special poem.

Local business sponsors, Princeton community, and family members pitched in for the initiative.

Local business sponsors include Annie Isaacson Manager of Sakrid Coffee Roasters, 20 Nassau Street Princeton, Mike Valcacel Owner of Locomotion, and Tony Kanterakis of local Greek.

The event was held at the large outdoor portico of the senior living center at Brandywine, in keeping with social distancing guidelines.
