Brandywine Living at Litchfield’s Prom Dress Drive yielded an overwhelming response! Resident’s family members helped spread the word and donated numerous dresses, shoes and accessories for this worthy cause. All in all a total of 276 dresses were collected at the Litchfield location.
Operation PROM was established in 2005 to help low-income students attend their Proms by providing free Prom dresses and tuxedo rentals. To date, they have helped thousands of students across the U.S. attend their Prom at little or no cost.
“We did not expect such a huge response from the community,” said Felicia Saraceno, Director of Community Relations. “We would like to extend a huge thank you to our community as they went above and beyond for such a special cause!”
The dresses will be available at the 2016 Operation PROM Dress Giveaway on April 3 from 11am-3pm at Bridgeport City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, Bridgeport, CT 06602 and April 10 from 11am-3pm at Hartford City Hall, 550 Main Street #1, Hartford CT 06103.
