(LIVINGSTON, NJ) On June 26, 2017, Brandywine Living welcomed several hundred guests to the Grand Opening Celebration of their 28th community, Brandywine Living at Livingston.
“When I started dancing at the party, I couldn’t stop. The band was great and so are my new friends,” said Edna Sandman, Brandywine resident, about the Grand Opening Celebration.
Guests included Mayor Dr. Shawn R. Klein, Essex County Freeholder Patricia Sebold; President and CEO of St. Barnabas Medical Center Dr. Stephen Zieniewicz, and many community dignitaries, physicians, therapists, guests, and members of the health care community in Essex County.
“We’re extremely excited to bring Brandywine Living to Livingston,” said Brenda J. Bacon, President and CEO of Brandywine Living. “This community is just amazing, and we are privileged to offer the option of a fabulous lifestyle while having the supportive services that may be helpful or necessary as our society actively ages.
That includes 120 beautiful suites, a therapy and recreational indoor pool, pub, beauty salon, book club, wine bar, performance stage, internet lounge, billiards table, a bistro, gorgeous courtyards and a deck with both water and fire features. Our great team is thrilled to have welcomed over 48 people who have already selected Livingston as their beautiful new home.”
Brandywine Living has a history and reputation of providing high quality assisted living services. In the Livingston community, this commitment is advanced via a partnership with Saint Barnabas Medical Center, which includes the provision of on-site therapy, primary care physician visits, fitness classes and many other options.
“Brandywine Living at Livingston has established a relationship with Saint Barnabas Medical Center to make the best in physician and wellness services available to match the lifestyle and needs of our residents. This collaboration enhances our continuum of care, enabling us to provide the highest quality experience for our residents,” said Julianne Mackey, Executive Director of Brandywine Living at Livingston.
Other programs at the community include: Escapades… for Life!, All Day Dining, licensed nursing on-site all day/all night, Brandywine’s award-winning programming for those with memory care needs, and much more.
“One of our new residents’ favorite things is to gather around the piano and hear Christopher Doran, Escapades Producer, perform Broadway standards,” said Julianne Mackey. “His tremendous talent and warm spirit delights them all…although some listen from the Pub where they are playing very competitive games of gin rummy!”
