(MAHWAH, NJ) Brandywine Living residents complete educational program. Residents at Brandywine at Mahwah were proud to attend a private graduation ceremony for completing the Lifelong Learning program with Ramapo College of New Jersey program. The ceremony was held at Brandywine Living at Mahwah on June 12, 2017.
The educational program featured a monthly lecture from accredited Ramapo college professors and was hosted at Brandywine Living at Mawah. Course topics ranged from astronomy, political science, international studies, environmental science, history, art and humanities. The lectures started in July 2016 and ended with a total of 13 classes.
Cathleen Davey, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director Ramapo College Foundation said at the graduation to residents, “We think of every one of you as a lifelong learner and a student in our community. We love and value the relationship that Ramapo College has with Brandywine Living at Mahwah.”
The Lifelong Learning program with Ramapo College of New Jersey is a result of the collaborative partnership shared between the college and Brandywine Living. The program is designed to promote overall wellbeing, social engagement, and education to residents through the satisfaction of higher learning.
“I felt very satisfied that I accomplished what I set out to do. The speakers were very profound, had a grasp of their subject and were able to share their passion with every one of us. I thought the ceremony was beautiful and it was a great day,” said Laura Weber, a resident at Brandywine Living at Mahwah, who attended the lectures and graduation ceremony.
