Livingston NJ —Members of the Livingston Senior Center were treated to a live Virtual Cooking with Class event led by Brandywine Living’s top chef Sean Keating via Zoom.
Virtual attendees made a delicious Red Lentil Soup alongside Sean and didn’t even have to shop! Beautifully decorated boxes arrived at their doorstep with everything they needed to make the soup, including a lemon grater.
Six residents of Brandywine at Livingston were also invited to watch the cooking class in the community’s beautiful Bistro, physically distanced. They enjoyed the signature soup along with crispy flatbread.
Livingston resident and senior center member Gloria raved about the event saying, “The entire Zoom experience was fabulous, from the box of ingredients packaged so beautifully and thoughtfully, it couldn’t have come at a better time. The chef was so giving with tips and hints, very patient and pleasant to follow, not to mention knowledgeable in his craft. You brightened my day with the experience and filled my tummy. Thank you! I appreciate it so much.”
Cooking with Class is a Brandywine Living Escapades…for Life! signature program. A resident guest chef works alongside a community chef to bring a special recipe to life among their peers. The signature program has been adapted with digital streaming and physical distancing to provide a social and safe experience for seniors.
