Classic Car Show Raises Funds for Local Veterans in Need

Brandywine Living at Litchfield Team Members Pose with Car

The sun came out after a rainy week for Brandywine Living at Litchfield’s Annual Cruisin’ Constitution Benefit Car Show. The annual show was hosted on Saturday, September 14 in celebration of National Assisted Living Week 2018 and raised over eight hundred dollars for the local American Legion.

Community visitors and residents alike enjoyed reminiscing as they inspected the classic cars on display. The event also featured a baked potato bar, traditional BBQ fare, entertainment with DJ Party Animalz, and raffles.

“Brandywine at Litchfield wishes to thank all those who came out to support our benefit car show, local businesses who made donations to our raffle and to those who promoted our show through local car shows in the area prior to ours. A very special thank you to Earle and Larry of Paradice Classic Cruisers of New Milford for all their help orchestrating the registration of cars for our show and again promoting the show through their car club contacts,” said Tobylynne Yurchick, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Litchfield, who organized the fundraiser.

The annual car show has become a signature event for Brandywine Living at Litchfield and a 2019 date has already been set.

Tobylynne commented, “We have already chosen the date of Friday September 13, 2019 for what will continue to be our Community Event during National Assisted Living Week. All proceeds from the Car Show will be in a fund to support local military in our community through our local American Legion.”

Established in 1995, National Assisted Living Week provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, team members, and the local community to recognize the role of assisted living in the care of America’s seniors. This event was one of many events hosted by Brandywine Living at Litchfield in celebration of this national week.
