Bridgewater, NJ — Residents and families of Brandywine Living at Middlebrook Crossing celebrated National Join Hands Day metaphorically with a drive by parade on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
About fifty family members participated in the drive by parade at the Bridgewater community. Residents waved and blew kisses as the cars passed by.
“Besides FaceTime, our residents have not seen their families in weeks. This was a big heartwarming surprise,” said Katie Hardy, Brandywine Living Escapades Producer.
Middlebrook Crossing resident Martha Cole said, “I can’t wait until this is over. I’m going to hug my children and grandchildren so tight I may never let go.”
National Join Hands Day is observed across the United States on the first Saturday in May with the goal to unite older generations and younger generations together.
