Mount Laurel, NJ — Team members, residents and families of Brandywine Living joined together in honor of The Longest Day on June 21, 2022 with special fundraisers to support The Alzheimer’s Association.

The Longest Day, observed on the summer solstice, is the Alzheimer’s Association largest fundraising day of the year. Participants from around the world spread awareness and raise funds for a cure.

Programming Teams across Brandywine Living, who are responsible for creating engaging activities for residents and their loved ones, organized a variety of fundraisers ranging from car washes to special entertainment.

Notable highlights include a Poker Tournament, Purple Boot Drop, Classic Car Show, Field Day and a special visit by a purple T-Rex. Additionally, Brandywine Chefs had the opportunity to show off their BBQing and culinary skills to attendees.

Not only does The Longest Day support the Alzheimer’s Association, but it also raises team spirit for residents and team members of Brandywine while honoring those affected by the disease.

“Even after 19 years I am still touched by past and present families who show support on The Longest Day. After our successful Boot Drop, I watched one of our Reflections Serenade residents walking hand-in-hand with their spouse. Honoring their journey with Alzheimer’s and showing support is what makes The Longest Day special,” commented Tobylynne Yurchick, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Litchfield, CT.

Brandywine Living has a long standing tradition of supporting The Longest Day with their Dresher, PA location celebrating their eleventh year as a team. This year all teams collectively raised over $10,000 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

“We are so proud of our communities for their spirited approach to raise awareness and the support and care they give our families and their loved ones who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease everyday,” commented Maria Nadelstumph, Senior Vice President Brandywine Center of Excellence.
