Three Brandywine Living communities teamed up to show collaborative support for the Alzheimer’s Association at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s hosted on Saturday, November 10th in Philadelphia, PA.
“Philadelphia hosts the largest Alzheimer’s walk in the country, and it was amazing to part of the thousands of people there on a cold, windy Saturday morning to raise funds and awareness to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease,” commented Rachel Kaufman, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Dresher Estates.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. It is the Alzheimer’s Association’s largest event with the goal to raise awareness and funds.
Participating Brandywine Living communities in Pennsylvania included Dresher Estates, Longwood, and Upper Providence. The collaborative effort raised $1,700 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Kristen Aran, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Longwood, has previously participated in the Wilmington, DE walk but this was her first year attending the larger Philadelphia walk. She commented, “We had a small team but coming together with our sister communities was wonderful!”
Brandywine Living proudly supports the Alzheimer’s Association and their mission to finding a cure and supporting families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
