Wall, NJ —Engine revved as Brandywine Living at Wall welcomed The Longest Day with a bike rally to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association on Monday, June 21, 2021.
The Longest Day, honored on the summer solstice, is the Alzheimer’s Association largest fundraising day of the year. Participants from around the world spread awareness and raise funds for a cure.
“Wheels Up for The Longest Day” welcomed Jersey Shore Hogs to show off their bikes to residents and families while enjoying live entertainment together. Team members, residents, and loved ones danced together to music by Bob Kern in their matching tie dyed purple shirts in honor of The Longest Day.
The event hit an emotional note for both residents and staff members. Betty Lou, Brandywine resident, owned a Harley Davis dealership and cried with joy when the bikes rode into the community. She gave the biggest smile to the president of Jersey Shore Hogs when he gave her his vest and hat.
“I grew up on the back of a motorcycle and our chauffeur Tony rides as well. Hosting my dad and his friends who are members of Jersey Shore Hogs brought together my two worlds! Residents and team members were thrilled to meet my dad and mingle with the bike group,” commented Jessica Easton, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living.
The community raised over $400 for the Alzheimer’s Association while raising awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and memory care.
