Colts Neck, NJ — The best chili recipe in Colts Neck Township was crowned during Brandywine Living at Colts Neck’s Chili Challenge hosted on Saturday, September 14, 2019 by popular vote.
Five contestants faced off in the Chili Challenge for the best recipe, including the Colts Neck Fire Department #2. Attendees had the opportunity to taste samples from each chef and vote on their favorite for a donation to the firehouse.
“It was so wonderful to welcome the Colts Neck Women’s Club and local townsfolk to our community for this fundraiser. We are very proud that our very own chef, Megan, won the contest. She really brought the heat,” exclaimed Linda Keating, Brandywine Living Director of Community Relations.
The event also featured BBQ food, games and live entertainment.
“It’s remarkable to be able to be at the facility to see what wonderful work Brandywine does in caring for its seniors. We are happy to be able to work cooperatively in our community and again thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity,” commented Allan Ryan, Fireman from CN Fire Dept. #2.
The Chili Challenge was hosted in honor of National Assisted Living Week 2019, “A Spark of Creativity”. National Assisted Living Week’s mission is to provide a unique opportunity for communities to recognize the important role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors.
