Howell Resident Celebrates Her 106th Birthday

Birthdays are always a cause for celebration, especially when turning 106 years old! Ann Baldwin, a beloved resident of Brandywine Living at Howell, is looking forward to her birthday bash on Saturday,
April 14. Although her birthday was in February, her party had to be postponed.

Her three daughters, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren have been invited to celebrate her longevity alongside friends and team members of the community. The party will feature musical entertainment by Stiletto and The Sax Man along with other birthday festivities. Ann will be wearing her signature birthday “tiara” and presented with a beautiful floral arrangement.

Ann was born on February 12, 1912 in New York to Pasqualina and John Andretta and is the oldest of five kids. While working as a seamstress, she had little time for hobbies but has found renewed interest in crocheting and doll making during her time at Brandywine Living. Her favorite activities are visits to the hair salon, musical entertainment, and playing bingo. She also enjoys spending time with children and had the pleasure of speaking to Taunton School (Howell, NJ) students about her experience with the first television a few years ago.

Ann has not shared her secret to longevity but those who know her well suspect that her bright personality has a part to play.

“Ann enjoys being with everyone and lives life to the fullest. It is an amazing feeling to see Ann wake up so happy every morning without any medication,” said Amy Schneider, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Howell.
