AssistedLiving.org used a unique selection process which involved 39 hours of research, in-depth interviews with facility staff members and resident reviews. After a thorough evaluation of over 160 communities in the New York City area, only 26 communities were approved for the final list.

“The average cost of assisted living in New York City is significantly higher than the state average. AssistedLiving.org makes it so much easier for families to find a quality option to meet their budget and needs,” says Jonathan Frank, licensed social worker and certified dementia practitioner.

In addition to highlighting the most trusted communities, the website also offers a directory of additional housing facilities in the city.
