Voorhees, NJ — Digital technology, once considered science fiction in their youth, has been embraced by seniors at Brandywine Living at Voorhees.
Residents in assisted living and Reflections memory care have been utilizing Rendevers technology to travel around the world, swim with dolphins, visit homes they’ve lived in and other exciting experiences.
Rendevers is an award-winning virtual reality device centered around providing unique experiences for seniors. Now in the age of COVID-19, it allows for seniors to share connected virtual experiences together while practicing physical distancing.
“I truly enjoyed watching everyone have fun with the technology and joined in as well. It is a unique experience that has been a welcome tool in allowing our residents to visit places without a care in the world during a difficult year,” explained Ashely Cruz, Escapades Producer of Brandywine Living at Voorhees.
The senior living community has adapted their signature programs called Escapades…for Life to include a variety of digital components to provide a “social and safe” experience for residents.
Dorothea, 101 years young and resident, commented, “This is really amazing!” about the virtual experience
